Great news from Arianespace! ASTRA 1N has been scheduled for launch on the evening of the August 5th.

The flight with Arianespace and ASTRA 1N had been postponed to allow for reconfiguration of the Ariane 5 rocket launcher and the subsequent checkout after an anomaly interrupted the initial final countdown earlier this month. But we have the all clear now

A weather-related postponement for the Ariane 5 launch with ASTRA 1N and BSAT-3c/JCSAT-110R

August 5, 2011 – Ariane Flight V203

Unfavorable weather conditions over the launch pad in Kourou, French Guiana has led to the postponement of tonight’s Ariane 5 mission with the ASTRA 1N and BSAT-3c/JCSAT-110R satellite payloads.

A new launch date will be determined based on the evolution of weather conditions.

This mission will be Arianespace’s fourth Ariane 5 launch of 2011, with a total
