EBU feed decoding

Post by rodlogic »

I used to have a Chapperal reciever that had an EBU setting per channel to demux the ebu feeds.
Now I have a Topfield 3000 CIP-PRO - what add-on do I need to decode the ebu feeds (I see in the posts mentioned 422 format).

Any help most gratefully recieved

What you need is
1) a MPEG 4:2:2 receiver (very expensive)
or
2) a skystar 2 card (PC card) (cheapest way)

But when they are encrypted , as far as I known , bad luck !!
I don't have a MPEG 4:2:2 PC card , yet !!

If you visite the site from feedsat (moderator on this forum)
there you'll find some more info about MPEG 4:2:2 ;)

A simple cheap SkyStar card works great. A (free) program like ProgDVB has no problems decoding the 422 format. It will also take care of HDTV as well, providing you have a performant PC.
